Our Health plays an important role in coming closure to Allah (swt). One of the ways of coming closure to Allah (swt) is being able to perform our Salah with Khushu (Presence of the Heart) which can be easily affected by not being physically fit.

Salah involves the movement of our body and concentration of our Mind. If our Body is suffering from all sorts of pains and aches, how is our Mind going to concentrate In the Salah. This physical discomfort is the biggest form of distraction to our Salah leading to lack of Khushu. How can we then feel the presence of Allah (swt) with all this pain going on in our Body and Mind being distracted?

How good is a Salah without Khushu? How good are the Dua'as made by a distracted mind? How are we going to reach our Ramadan Goals with unhealthy Body and Mind?

The month of Ramadan is a Blessing from Allah (swt), it is the Mercy of Allah (swt), where our good deeds are multiplied, sins forgiven and Dua'as answered, How can we let this opportunity go to waste because of our Poor Health?

Unfortunately, most of the time, our unhealthy lifestyle, such as lack of exercise and unhealthy eating habits, are the main cause for us being overweight and unhealthy.

Lack of exercise and unhealthy eating habits make our Body weak, lazy, sluggish and painful. All this prevents us from performing our worship properly. But the good thing is that we CAN reverse this condition if WE make up our Mind, if WE decide to make the change.

Allah says in the Quran, 13:11 ''Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.''

Ramadan is approaching and we all want to do our best to reap its abundant mercies. We all need our Dua'as to be answered. This is the month of Rewards and Forgiveness. Lets do our best to reach out to Allah (swt).

It takes 8 weeks to build a new habit. This is the right time to start preparing ourselves for this month full of Miracles by incorporating exercise and healthy eating habits. In these 8 weeks you will be able to lose the extra pounds and become physically and mentally strong. You will develop healthy eating habits and keep away the cravings for unhealthy food. Regular workouts and Healthy Eating Habits with regular support throughout the program will prepare you to face the long hours of fasting during the day and to stand up during the Night Prayers and help you reach your Ramadan Goals.
